🔗 TV Point & Data Point Installation Perth
Want a TV in the bedroom, kids’ room, or out on the patio but there’s no antenna point? We install new TV points anywhere in your home by running coaxial cable from your existing antenna through the roof space and down into the wall. Clean, tidy, and tested with a signal meter to make sure you get a perfect picture.
Most homes only come with 1-2 TV points from the builder. These days, with a TV in nearly every room plus set-top boxes and PVRs, that’s just not enough. Adding extra points is quick, affordable, and way better than running cable across the floor.
If you need data point installation in Perth beside a TV, we can also install combo wall plates for TV plus data so your streaming box, Smart TV, or gaming console gets a hardwired connection instead of dodgy WiFi.

📺 What We Install
❓ TV Point FAQs
How many TV points can my antenna support?
A decent antenna with a distribution amplifier can comfortably feed 6-8 TV points. If you need more than that, or your antenna is older, we might recommend an upgrade to handle the extra load.
Can you add a TV point to a brick wall?
Yes. We drill through from the roof cavity side, feed the cable down, and mount the wall plate. The hole is hidden behind the plate, so it’s completely tidy. We do it every day.
Is it better to use WiFi streaming or a cable TV point?
For free-to-air channels, a cabled TV point gives you the best picture quality with zero buffering or WiFi dropouts. If you only use streaming services, you don’t need a TV point — but most people want both options.
Can you install a data point next to my TV?
Yes. We regularly install TV and data points side by side for wall-mounted TVs, home theatres, offices, and gaming setups. It keeps everything tidy and gives your streaming gear a hardwired internet connection.
🔌 TV Wall Sockets, Antenna Outlets & Wall Plates
A TV point — also called a TV wall socket, antenna outlet, or antenna wall plate — is the connection point where your coaxial cable meets your TV. It’s the little socket on the wall that you plug your antenna cable into. Every room where you want to watch free-to-air TV needs one.
Whether you call it a TV point, antenna outlet, TV socket, coax wall plate, or aerial connection — it’s the same thing, and we install them all day long. We use F-type connectors and proper wall plates that give you a clean, reliable connection without signal loss.
💰 How Much Does a TV Point Cost?
Every TV point installation includes the cabling, wall plate, and a signal test at the outlet to confirm you’re getting a clean signal. No shortcuts.
🏠 Multi-Room TV Setup — TV in Every Room
Most Perth homes — even new builds — come with only one or two TV points. That was fine when the family shared one telly in the lounge room. These days, you want screens in the bedroom, the kids’ rooms, the outdoor area, and maybe the shed or garage.
We install extra TV antenna points so you can watch free-to-air TV in any room of the house. Each point gets its own dedicated RG6 quad-shield cable run back to the antenna or distribution point — not a cheap splitter that halves your signal.
Popular spots for additional TV points in Perth homes: master bedroom, kids’ bedrooms, home office, granny flat, outdoor alfresco area, and the garage or workshop. If there’s a wall, we can put a TV point on it.
⚙️ Technical Details — What Goes Into a TV Point Install
RG6 Quad-Shield Cabling — This is the industry standard for TV antenna cabling in Australia. The quad-shield design blocks interference from mobile towers, WiFi, and other electronics. We never use the cheap RG59 cable that some installers still run — it loses signal over distance and picks up noise.
Signal Splitting & Amplification — When you’re running multiple TV points from one antenna, the signal gets split. Two points halves your signal, four points quarters it. If you’re running three or more points, we’ll likely install a distribution amplifier to keep every TV getting a strong, clean picture. We test at every outlet to confirm.
Cable Routing — Where possible, we run cables through the wall cavity and roof space so nothing is visible. In situations where cavity access is limited (solid brick, slab-on-ground), we can surface-mount with slim cable conduit painted to match your wall.
