Got an EV charger to hook up? Send us a photo of the charger, meter box and where you want it. We'll get a sparky onto it and quote it properly before we start.

Most common home EV chargers — Tesla, Wallbox, Zappi, EO, Schneider, the usual suspects. If you've already bought one, tell us what it is and we'll work out the install. If you haven't bought one yet, we'll talk through what suits your car, your house, and how you drive.

Single-phase, 3-phase, simple jobs and the trickier setups. Depending on where you are and what needs doing, it might be Tony, Mick or one of the other local sparkies we work with. We'll get the right bloke onto it and make sure you know the price before anything starts.

Every install is different — cable run, switchboard condition, single vs 3-phase, whether we're tying it to your solar. As a rough guide:

Charger itself is separate. Bring your own or we can source one.

We don't quote firm over the phone — too many variables, and we'd rather be honest than wrong. We come out, check the board, measure the run, give you a real number.

Can I just plug into a normal powerpoint? Technically yes — trickle charges about 25km of range overnight. But normal powerpoints aren't rated for sustained EV current, and old wiring pulling 8 hours straight is a fire risk. Get a proper EVSE installed.

Single-phase or 3-phase? Single-phase 7kW handles most Perth homes — adds about 40km of range per hour. 3-phase only helps if your EV supports it AND you've got 3-phase supply (most Perth houses don't). We'll check your board when we visit.

Will my switchboard handle it? Depends on age and what else you've got drawing. We do a load calc on the day. Switchboard upgrade is the most common surprise cost — we tell you upfront.

Can I charge off my solar? Yes, with the right charger. Some units can be set up to pull from your solar export so daytime charging is essentially free. We'll talk through what's worth it for your setup.

How long does it take? Half a day to a full day for a standard residential install. Switchboard upgrade or a long cable run can push to two days.

Do you supply the charger, or just install? Either. Bring your own or we can source one. We handle the full install either way — switchboard, breaker, cable run, mount, commission, app setup.
